Solbar Industries, Ashdod, Israel, has opened its new sales office in Shanghai, China, establishing a new company, Solbar Ningbo Food Co., Ltd. The Shanghai office was established in conjunction with Solbar’s new specialty protein facility under construction in the Ningbo Free Trade Zone. This plant is scheduled to be operational in January 2005 and will produce functional soy protein concentrates, textured soy concentrates and Solbar’s steam-textured soy protein, Bontex. The main product to be produced in Ningbo is Solbar’s non-GMO IP (identity preserved) functional soy concentrate, Solcon S-110.
